Grand Lake is the Boy Scout camping and activity area of Camp Strake. The 21 campsites that are divided into three separate wings offer enough room and seclusion to accommodate several units and activities at one time. Be sure you enjoy the beautiful piney woods as you walk down our many hiking trails. Many program areas are also available for your use during your visit with us. Appropriate adult training is required. The Shooting Sports Range can accommodate Rifle and Shotgun Shooting as well as Archery. After you perfect your shooting skills, head over to Deer Lake and practice Canoeing in one of the most scenic areas of the camp. You may prefer to just relax under the Joplin Pavilion next to the lake and take in the beauty of it all. Need more? We also have a COPE Course ! Get ready to work on some of those team building skills ... a great confidence builder along with team work training.
Also located in the Grand Lake area of Camp Strake are several areas to accommodate your next training. Whether it’s an Adult Outdoor Training or a Troop level NYLT, reserve your next training to be in the amazing piney woods of Camp Strake.
